Our Story

Shane Shumake started his construction career at the age of 14 working for his Grandfather’s construction business where his love for working with his hands and helping people with their homes began. Something Shane likes to say is,

“My Grandfather taught me a lot about construction but most of all he taught me how to treat people, the importance of being honest, and doing what you say you are going to do. I can still hear him saying, ‘Son, it’s ok to make a million dollars, just don’t make it off one person.’ Reminding me that the relationships we make in life matter and how we approach customers is a direct reflection on how we conduct business.”

Taking this knowledge and heart to serve homeowners needs, Shane created Silverleaf Construction when the housing market crashed in the late 1980’s. Today, Shane, Susan, and family work as a team to build, restore, renovate, and recreate incredible places and spaces in homes and businesses. At Silverleaf we will strive to not only conduct your project with the highest quality craftsmanship, but also with a personal touch because we know how much your home or business means to you.
